ANWEN ROBERTS

I have worked as a professional artist from my studio on our Anglesey farm for many years. Being involved in farming in some waymost of my life has heavily influenced my artistic work. I draw inspiration from these experiences, conveying through my oilpaintings and drawings the many diverse aspects of the workingenvironment, life, people and animals related to this way of living. I am passionate about observing, sketching and photographing, to enable me to produce paintings of a farming and rural way of life, to record this ever changing, and for me, visually exciting environmentin my work. From the hustle and bustle of the markets and shows, the hard work of shearing time to over wintering cattle, colourful hens and everything else in between.
