Moya Davern
Moya was born in Bridgend, Mid Glamorgan. She is a graduate of Bristol University B.Sc.Hon. Moya began painting later in life, specialising in Botanical Illustration.
She gained many R.H.S. medals, including two gold and five Silver-Gilt. She has works in major collections worldwide including the Shirley Sherwood Collection and The Hunt Institute of Botanical Documentation U.S.A.
She has been an art tutor for 17 years in adult education. Last 11 years at the School of Education and Lifelong Learning Aberystwyth University, now retired. Moya has also written correspondence courses in Botanical Illustration and Chinese Brush Painting for The London College of Art.
She exhibits regularly at National and Regional venues depicting a variety of themes.
''I have a particular interest in textures, light and detail, depicted in a different mediums, but specialising in watercolour.
Drawing my inspiration from the mid Wales seashore, rural buildings and outdoors figures and themes, in addition to flowers and still life subjects.''
