Gillian Yorath

I am a Welsh landscape artist, working from my home in Snowdonia. Born in Cardiff, my childhood was spent in a small village below the Garth mountain. After a short spell in London apprenticed in my former trade as a gilder and carver, I moved to Snowdonia. Rock and water features strongly in my paintings. Using oil paint and palette knife I aim to capture the wild landscape of Snowdonia in a loose expressive way which reads as detail from a distance.
